Description

This item is a unique and vintage paperweight that I received in 1993 while serving at Fort Benning. Fort Benning, at the time was winning year after year best installation in the Department of Defense. The Commanding General took upon himself to award all employees, civilian and military, for their efforts in helping Fort Benning win these awards. The paperweight is made of granite and has four (4) cushioned feet. It is attached with a brass plate that annotates "A Quality Employee". Where and how they came up with this slogan is beyond me but like many other folks that day we took this gift with all the gratitude that could be mustered in an event like that. It served me well for many years and has adorned any desk that I occupied while still serving with the military or with the federal government. A unique piece of military history.
