Unique Hand Cast Aluminum Bluegill from Scrap Cans! ***THIS AUCTION IS FOR 1 FISH*** Melted in my home forge and hand-poured into a unique casting mold. It takes about 30 cans to melt, remove the slag, and end up with enough high-purity aluminum to create these castings. Melted in my crucible and poured into the mold one at a time - no two are ever the same. These nifty fish are mostly the product of recycled beer and soda cans but sometimes contains scrap aluminum car parts, tubing or aluminum wire. All kept out of landfills! Aluminum has a high coefficient of expansion/contraction so all castings will have a shrinkage pocket on the back side. this is normal. Environmentally-conscious art - perfect for a paperweight, conversation piece, or the fisherman (or beer drinker!) Almost 4 1/2" long by 2 1/2" tall by a massive 1 1/4 inch thick!
