Description

For your consideration I am offering for sale an absolutely stunning Paul Allen Counts Large Handblown Glass Fish Paperweight. The please read part is that it has two chips in it, one is in its eye and the other near its back (I'm wondering if the chip near the back right fin could be the pontil?). The last 3 photos show the damage, third to the last somewhat shows the damage to the back on its right side and positioning for reference and then there's a close-up of it in the next photo. The last is the damage to its left eye. The eye damage was very difficult to see and photograph and had to be felt. The damage (or pontil) near the rear fin is approx. 5/8" x 1/2". The damage to the eye (situated near the bottom of the eye) is approx. 1/2" x 1/4". Perhaps you know someone who can smooth the chips, that would of course be up to you after purchase or leave as is if you wish. I am selling it as is at a discounted price for a one of a kind piece of art. The fish is heavy as well at approx. 3 pounds. It's approx. 10 3/4" long x 6 1/8" tall x 4 1/2" wide (from right fin to left flare of tail). The colors on it are quite striking; brick reds, greens, iridescent gold, the gorgeous see-through blue of the fins and tail, and the complementary yet contrasting green of the mouth, eyes and rear portion of the body. I took some extra photos of the fish today, 7/17/2024, and I found a rough spot on the side (photo #20). It's from the creation of the item and not damage, but it is there, as well as the two chips. If you decide to purchase, please be advised that I do not accept returns. Thank you for viewing this item and please check out my other listings. AMH
